Does anyone know anything about Chase Payment Protector?
I have had a payment protector on my credit card for about 2 years now I have paid it every month. Recently when I could not pay I tried to activiate my benefits. I could not get them activated in November they put me on hold forever and then acted like I had to fill out forms to get them activated. I could not make a payment that month. I finally got ahold of them in December after writing a letter and getting the correct number. I started paying in January. I sent in $100 rather than their $500 minimum. So im asking based on your knowledge of Payment Protector which states my credit rating will be protected can I dispute these 30 day, 60 day things on my report after sending in letters and calling to get my benefits activated. It seems to me they waited forever to get them activated so I could pay more fees. I have not worked in a year and I really need help understanding what my benefits are if anything. I paid 2 years worth. Almost 400 dollars and I wish I could get the money back
Chase payment protector is not a good deal for this very reason.
Threaten to surf the balance to another card at 0% and they should get into line … if they don't, do it and pay off the debt ASAP. Then stop spending money you don't have and live debt free.
First you should contact the credit reporting agency <in writing> disputing the report. This will give you a chance to defend yourself with any prospective lender in the future. Read the protection agreement very carefully & get legal help to interpret it & assist you with it. Try the Legal Aid Society or a paralegal clerk thru a community based organization. Don't make the mistake of thinking this will go away, it won't.
