Im looking for a free credit report..withought having to join anything

Dear Credit Inquiry,

One of the places that you can visit where you can get the "report" function for free is from Annual Credit Report. However, Fair Isaac recommends another site called MyFico. Both companies will provide the report portion for no charge but here’s a list of things that you’ll need in order to get it:

1) Have your Social Security Number readily available.
2) Have some of your personal credit statements available as well, i.e. credit card, home, car, etc. At some point, while you’re registering, you will be asked for some of this information to verify your identity.
3) Also, have an email address ready that can except "spam" – because you can also have a copy of it forwarded to your personal email address (some spam blockers will block it, so make sure you have the function switched off).

Note: None of these services are "member" oriented but you will have to provide your information.

I would highly recommend that you print out the entire report; including the existing credit lines and derogatory items (if any). From there, if you printed out the detail report, you should have contact numbers and times of all the companies that you have existing / past credit with. If there are any mistakes, you can then go back and dispute those items (on some of the websites, they will actually allow you to dispute the notification right there online).

Hope this helps!

    annualcreditreport.com

By law, you are entitled to your credit report once a year. So go that site, once a year, and get a free copy of your credit report from the three major credit companies. It’s what I’ve been doing for the past 3 years.

go to annualcreditreport.com….it’s free but the only thing is it does not give you your credit score (just history) cause they want you to pay for that part. You can run from all 3 credit bureaus too once a year for free. It works, I used it myself.

    Yes, it’s called https://www.annualcreditreport.com

You get 1 report from each agency free once per year.

So I usually get 1 free every 4 months to check it, unless you see a problem, then you need to get them all right away.

go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com All the info you need is there, including info on the three major credit bureaus. You can get your report from one, two or all three at no cost to you. You can do this once every twelve months. Some people space out the reports and order from each bureau at different times in the year.

annualcreditreport.com, I used it and it works

Here’s another tip – you can’t get the score from the above – when I went to buy a car they ran the credit and they told me the score! If you are in the market to buy a big ticket item, just be upfront with them, tell them you don’t know how your credit will come out or if they can approve you – they want the sale so they will try – but also tell them it would really help you to know the score, they will probably tell you if you are nice.
