I need something free, instant and easy. What is the best site for checking free credit report online?

Sunday

Hi,

I am looking for a free credit report online. Preferably a service which provides instant results and is easy to understand. Can anyone recommend the best site to use? Something like a free credit report comparison would be awesome or even just somewhere that I can get more information about free credit reports.

Many Thanks!

Here you can check your 3-in-1 Report from all three credit reporting agencies and your credit score rating.

You are allowed one free credit file disclosure from each service each year. Even then you have to pay them to get your actual score.

All these commercials you see on TV offer credit reports and scores, but ONLY if you sign up for their "service" and pay a monthly fee. Many of the services allow you to cancel within 30 days so it would be free, but you included "easy".

http://www.annualcreditreport.com is the only free site sanctioned by the government. Do not go to FreeCreditReport.com, they will require you to subscribe to their credit monitoring service for a fee.

You can get one free credit report each year from each of the three credit reporting agencies. You will have to pay for your score, but they are only about $7 to $8 for each score.

Your local .gov site will provide you with the appropriate links.

In the end I paid $15 (one time fee) in order to view my entire credit history. I have great credit but wanted to make sure my Chase CC was fully canceled (idiots couldn’t figure out how to transfer funds from my Chase Checking to Chase Credit, stick with BOFA CC) the report also revealed an old home depot credit line that was opened years ago with no traffic against it.
