Free Credit Report Online – How To Get It?

Is it true we can get our free credit report? If so, where online can I get them?

Contact any or all of the three major credit reporting agencies. They used to give out one copy of your credit report per year. You have to provide all kinds of information, but it is completely free. the agencies are
Equifax
TransUnion
Experian

You get it at
https://www.annualcreditreport.com
and you can get it three times a year if you ask only one of the reporting agencies for a report every four months.
If you go directly to the site of the three agencies: Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion, they will charge for the report. Also, when you ask for your free report, they will suggest you buy your credit score from them. The free report does not include your credit score. You have to pay for that, but you don't really need it.
