Does anyone know a good resource for finding out which lenders use which credit reporting agency?
Published: April 30th, 2009
Most lender just use one credit reporting agency and always the same one. It would help me alot to be able to match up potential lenders by CRA. Any help greatly appreciated.
Actually most lenders use 2 or even all 3! I review bank loan file for a living so I might know what I am talking about. They RARELY use only one score, because there is a good chance that the "one" may be missing something that the other ones have. What you have probably seen is that they will write down a single score on a loan application, but that is usually the highest score, the lowest score, OR the average score. Wherever you got your information is WAY off base!

I think you are wrong about the "one credit agency" thing.
