If I get a free online credit report, will it damage my credit rating?

Sunday

I recently had identity fraud committed against me, and would quite like to see if any other applications were made under my name. I was thinking of using CreditExpert or similar to get an online report, but somebody said it might damage my credit rating. Any advice from someone who’s been in a similar situation is welcome.

Also should specify I’m in the UK!

you can get a FREE credit report from all 3 bureaus at http://www.annualcreditreport.com once a year. And no, checking your own credit report does not have a negative impact
