Do You Need A Credit Card To Buy A Computer Online?
I want to use my debt visa to order either a Dell or a Mac online, but I'm not sure if the company's will take a debit card because of the fact there will be no credit rating on the card. Can I use debt and still make monthly payments?
P.S. I dont have a credit card, I'm 17 and need a laptop for college and I want to pay myself rather than having my parents(who just bought my sister a computer) put more money on their credit cards.
As long as your debit card has a Visa or Mastercard Logo on it you can use it online on most sites.
When purchasing a computer and paying for it up front, companies do not care about your credit rating.
If the companies offers a program of debiting your card monthly than yes you can use it. But if they are offering you a card of their own then No. You are under 18 and will not qualify for their own program.
I hope this makes sense!
Best of luck to you!
I think so

If you use a visa debit card you can use it too purchase the computer but you have to have the money available in the account. If you want to make monthly payments many sites such as Dell sometimes have their own credit lines and if you apply you may qualify for the monthly payments. If your credit score is not great then you might have high interest rates or you will get denied

If you have the cash in the account that has the debit card attached to it, then you can.
