What kind of credit score does one need to be approved in an apartments credit check?

Wednesday

I am a single mother looking for an apartment. I found a great place in the same school district as my kids are in now. They said they will run a credit check and that will determine my qualification. If it comes back conditional, I will have to pay an increased security. If it comes back denied, I won't get the apartment. Does anyone know what score these credit checks look for??

Probably a 600+ Also, you can have a higher score and still be turned down, if for instance you have any real 'baddies' (foreclosure, bankruptcy, judgments, etc).

You could ask them what their criteria is for approval. They may not base it solely on your credit score. I would imagine your income would be a large part of that determining factor.
