What is the difference between a FULL background check and a credit check?

Friday

I am renting my home and need to screen a potential tenant. Shoudl I do a FULL background check or credit check? Is credit history included in a background check?

Charge back the entire fee to the applicant (screening fee) & get the fullest report possible. Background usually encompasses criminal, in addition to credit & rental history. Should not be more that $35 – 40 per applicant. (Background, rental & credit history)

If you end up with a level 1 – 2 sex offender as a tenant, best to be prepared with that up front.

background check checks for things like if you have been arrested or anything like that. credit check just checks your credit score and if u make ur payments in full and stuff.

i would do a full background check… just to make sure he will always help you pay for rent, and to make sure they are not a thief.

    whomever is offering the check,
    ask them that!

    However, I invented a different
approach that will solve the credit
    concern.

Do a "bad boy" check and
I will show you how to "cover" the
    rest.
    NO fee for my advice.
