What is the cheapest and quickest site where I can get a credit check run on my prospective tenants?

I've just wasted $30.00 on the "Intelligent Investigatins" site- there was no financial information or credit history! Help! I need to run this check tonight!

I have used a site called "tenant verification services." The prices for credit reports and background checks are pretty much the same as other sites, but you're sure to get the info you need, I'm very pleased with the service. Please note, in order to do credit checks on other people, you need to give up some of your info to the service, as well as prove you own a rental property by faxing them a deed, insurance policy on the property, etc. It's a little bit of a pain, but It's to make sure bad people aren't just using the service to steal other peoples info or money.
OH yeah, and there is NOT a monthly membership fee for this particular service on this website.

    I believe that any of the major credit report bureaus will allow landlords to obtain credit checks for a set fee each month.

    http://www.choicepoint.com is one of the more popular and reputable firms for performing credit checks.

    There are also organizations which will do this for a set fee each month as well – depending on how many credit checks you perform in a given month. If you perform a credit check once in a blue moon, you can go to the credit bureau if your prospective tenant gave you permission to do so.
