What cell phones can you get without a credit check?

I reallllyyyy want a cell phone but my parents have really bad credit and I’ve been looking around and I can’t find any. I do see a few pre-paid but none have a qwerty keyboard :( they’re all the cheap lame ones. and i dont see any of the good ones with a pre-paid plan. Anybody know of any phones with a qwerty keyboard that don’t need a credit check to get and activate?

    Go to a T-Mobile store and ask about a Flex Pay plan. Flex Pay is a hybrid account: it has most of the perks of a regular plan, but no credit check, and you pay like a prepaid plan. Best of all, you can get and use any phone T-Mobile carries. I’ve had a T-Mobile Flex Pay plan for about 1 1/2 years, and it works out well for me. The only catch is that you may have to save up a couple hundred bucks (the full cash price of whatever phone you select) to pay up front as a "deposit."
