How long does the ping my credit takes when a check is preformed take to fall off my credit?
Thursday
I was wonderoing if it takes the full 7 years for the loss of points when a credit check is prefromed to be added back to my score?
I had a few credit checks when shopping for a loan. I had a score of 805 and see that it has now dropped to the 780's due to the checks. I wondered how long it would take to go back up to the previous score
I am not for sure what you mean by a “ping”. If you mean an inquiry being listed, it comes off in 24 months. If you mean a collection or unpaid bill, it takes 7 years from the date of last charge as given by your creditor.
You can review all the rules which govern Credit Bureaus and Credit Grantor’s by going to the “Fair Credit Reporting Act” on the web.
