How long does it take to run a credit check for an apartment?

I recently applied to rent for an apartment. How long does it take for them to run all the credit check and to verify that all the information written on the application was true? I want to move in as soon as possible and I am 100% sure I meet the income requirements, and am 99% sure I have great rental history and credit history. Does it take two-three days or what??

    not long at all as long as they have your s.s. number and info.

    I am a landlord, I belong to a apartment association. They run credit checks for members and it takes less than a minute.

    If they have to outsource the request it might take a few days. They also might not do it the same day you applied.
