How do you get a credit and background check on a potential roommate?

My husband and I plan to rent out our extra bedroom in our condo and want to do a background check and credit check on the person we want to move in (when we find him/her). Do anyone know where to get this done or how much it cost?

    this site is legit, because i have used them before for credit monitoring. But i haven’t use them for background check yet.

    Go to the internet for a background check. There are lots of sites for it. Some are free with the state court information listed. Be sure you do it because you don’t want a criminal (and his or her friends) with access to your home and your family 24 hours a day. Be sure to check with your state and find out the renter laws. You need to be careful because some states won’t let you evict a person that doesn’t pay rent or a person that has lost their job or gets sick. You may be stuck caring for a person you don’t even know and legally can’t get rid of them. Check first.
