I know they take your social and Driver’s license to make sure that it is you, but do they do a credit check at all..

No. I have never heard of a bank running a credit check to open a CD.

    nope they just want your money and try to lock it away for as long as they can :) good idea to look into foreign cds also they usually have higher returns
