I get this qustion alot. Checking your own credit report or score, no matter how much, will NOT hurt your credit score. I'm 100% sure of this.

    Any activity on your credit history will affect your score. ANY AT ALL! That is just how it is.

    No, when you check your own score it is know as a 'soft' inquiry and has no effect on your score.

    If you shop for a car and three dealers pull your FICO over a few days – its just ONE inquiry and can lower your score by a point. One whole point!

    So, don't worry too much, ok?
