Fico Score?

Sunday

Is there a site where I can check my Fico Score for free !? I'm cheap bare with me !

Also, what is a good fico score !??

Thanx

FICO is actually one of three "brand" names for the scores.
The range of scores is from 350-850.
Here is the website for the Federal Trade Commission. FTC provides tips on shopping for credit cards, using cards carefully, and keeping your credit record clean. Also explains credit reports and credit scores, how to protect your identity, improve your credit record, and what to do if you are a victim of identity theft. A good source of information for people learning about credit. The FTC alerts consumers that there is only one website providing free annual credit reports under Federal law: annualcreditreport.com, and to warn consumers about “imposter” sites.

Your Fico score can be obtained through Experian TransUnion, and Equifax.

    Edit
You are allowed one free every year. I believe the range is from 300-800, and as for a good score not sure (in the 600 range) but the higher the better.

You can write or request online to each credit reporting agency (Experian, Equifax, Transunion) your allowed one free report a year. Each Credit Reporting Agency will have their own score. However, your overall score will be based on a combination of all three.

    no
you are entitled to one free credit report from all 3 reporting agencies every year

but no one will give your score for free
not only that all 3 will give slightly different scores
    complicating matters

A fico score is your credit score. It tells you how much credit you do or do NOT have.
To check your status you can go to:

No credit agency is required to give you your FICO score for free. The annual credit report is just that – an annual credit report.

Some credit card companies will offer "free FICO score" information from one of the reporting bureaus if you have one of their cards (WaMu will give you your Transunion FICO score) – that's one way to keep tabs on it for free.

If you're looking to make a major purchase in the near future, pay the $12.95 or whatever it is and get your FICO from all three bureaus, because they can vary widely.

What's good? There's no real "hard cutoff" but the higher, the better. Mid 600s is considered "Fair" by most agencies, I believe

First off, there is no such thing as a FREE FICO score. You have to pay a fee for this. Credit reports are free once a year but DO NOT INCLUDE the FICO score.

And besides, all that FICO scoring is about to change very shortly.
