You are entitled to get a free copy of your credit report once a year from each of the three reporting agencies. You contact them to request a copy, it will have your FICO score. What is usually suggested is that you request a copy from one of the agencies, four months later a different agencie, four months later the last agency. This way you can monitor your report (checking for inaccuracies, fraud and your score) and it will cost you nothing.

I get ours when we get our credit reports. I usually go to annualcreditreport.com, our credit reports are free and our credit score is $5 through experian.

It's only $45 if you want to check all three FICO scores. You can check any one of them for $15 each. And yes I'm afraid that this is the only place to get your real FICO score. Any other place gives you a FAKO score.

No you do not have to pay that much for it. According to an article in this months Consumer Report, on page 9 top right corner " 'Fre Credit Report Beware of Add ons' ".

If you want your FICO it will cost $7. Nice savings there, huh?
